Change the water every 1-2 days: To maintain freshness, pour out the existing water from the vase, then rinse the vase thoroughly. Refill the vase with fresh water. This helps prevent bacterial growth and keeps the water clean for the flowers. 
- For flowers arranged in floral foam: It's important to add water frequently to keep the foam fully saturated, as it acts as a water source for the flowers.

Re-cut the stems: Give the flower stems a fresh cut at a diagonal angle. This allows them to absorb water more efficiently. Use a sharp, clean pair of scissors or floral shears to make the cuts. Removing any damaged or wilted foliage or flowers is also beneficial.
